The canned insects are the part people most often misuse. They differ enough to be worth choosing between: mealworms run about 19.4% protein and 7.2% fat, silkworms 18.5% and 13.3%, superworms 19% and 13.9%. Exo Terra describes calcium deficiency as a major dietary problem in captive reptiles, and its Calcium + D3 powder is intended to be dusted onto insects or blended through vegetables and fruit.
