A raised bed built on a fully welded 1.2mm galvanised steel tube frame with a 100% biodegradable jute cover stretched over it and secured with VELCRO tabs. The jute has natural give so dogs can nest into it, and because the dog sits up off the ground, air circulates underneath and odours do not build up. Hose it down and it is clean — it is designed to live outside in the Australian climate.
Jute is a bare, open-weave natural fibre with no padding, so a short-coated or bony dog will want a mat on top in cold weather. It also stretches with heavy use or moisture, and the fix is time in the sun to pull it back into shape.
