Amazon Jungle African Shade Leaf on Log Aquarium Plant

Broad shade-leaf foliage on a small moulded log, 10cm tall. At 35g this is the lightest piece in the Amazon Jungle range, and the shortest — it is a foreground filler, the thing you put in front of everything else to hide the join between substrate and hardscape.

The flip side of that light weight: in strong filter outflow it can shift. Seat it behind a rock or in the lee of the flow rather than directly in front of the outlet.

Care

Rinse under warm running water before it goes in the tank. Every few months, lift it out and swish it in a bucket of old tank water to shift the algae film that settles on any decor — never use soap or detergent.

Worth knowing

Artificial plants do not take up nitrate or oxygenate the water the way live plants do. They are for structure, cover and looks — your filter and water changes still do the work.
