Broad banana lilly leaves on a covered pad base, 27cm across and only 10cm high. This is a horizontal piece rather than a vertical one — it spreads out over the substrate and creates shaded space underneath, which is where corydoras, kuhli loaches and shrimp spend most of their time.
Because it stays low it will not screen equipment at the back of the tank. Use it at the front or over a bare patch of substrate, and pair it with something taller behind.
Features
- 27 x 10cm — wide and low, a footprint most artificial plants do not give you
- Covered pad base — holds position on sand or gravel without planting
- Shaded cover underneath — useful for shy bottom-dwellers and shrimp
- No maintenance — no lighting, CO2, fertiliser or trimming, and herbivorous fish will not eat it
- 180g shipping weight
Care
Rinse under warm running water before it goes in the tank. Every few months, lift it out and swish it in a bucket of old tank water to shift the algae film that settles on any decor — never use soap or detergent.
Worth knowing
Artificial plants do not take up nitrate or oxygenate the water the way live plants do. They are for structure, cover and looks — your filter and water changes still do the work.
