Anubias-style leaves spanning a horizontal branch, 26cm across and 180g. Almost every other plant in the range grows upwards; this one grows sideways, which makes it the answer for a tank that is wide but shallow — a 3-foot tank only 30cm deep, for instance, where tall plants hit the lid.
It also works laid across the top of hardscape rather than standing on substrate, which is how real anubias tends to be grown.
Features
- 26cm horizontal span — fills width instead of height
- Anubias-style leaves — broad and dark, a naturalistic freshwater look
- Branch form — sits on substrate or across hardscape
- 180g shipping weight
- No maintenance — no lighting, CO2, fertiliser or trimming, and herbivorous fish will not eat it
Care
Rinse under warm running water before it goes in the tank. Every few months, lift it out and swish it in a bucket of old tank water to shift the algae film that settles on any decor — never use soap or detergent.
Worth knowing
Artificial plants do not take up nitrate or oxygenate the water the way live plants do. They are for structure, cover and looks — your filter and water changes still do the work.
