Nine single-stem artificial plants sold individually, in two heights. This is how you build a planted look gradually — buy one stem, see how it sits, add more of the same or mix varieties, rather than committing to one large piece that dictates the whole layout.
10-12cm stems are foreground and nano scale. 15cm stems are midground and roughly twice the price, but also noticeably fuller — the weight per stem roughly doubles too.
Because each stem is small, one on its own tends to look sparse. Groups of three or five of the same variety read as a planted clump; single stems dotted around read as clutter.
Varieties
- 10-12cm — 4 Leaf Clover, Carotina, Flame Castella, Myriophyllum, Pennywort
- 15cm — 5 Finger Plant, Flame Castella, Ludwigia, Red Anacharis
Features
- Sold per stem — mix varieties and heights in one order
- Two heights — 10-12cm foreground, 15cm midground
- Fine stem-plant textures — myriophyllum and cabomba-style foliage that is difficult to keep alive
- No maintenance — no lighting, CO2, fertiliser or trimming, and herbivorous fish will not eat it
Care
Rinse under warm running water before first use. Fine stem foliage traps detritus faster than broad leaves — swish in a bucket of old tank water at water changes. Never use soap or detergent.
Worth knowing
Artificial plants do not take up nitrate or oxygenate the water the way live plants do. They are for structure, cover and looks — your filter and water changes still do the work.
