Broad rounded leaves on a tree form, 28cm tall and 330g. The canopy is wide relative to the height, so it throws shade over a good patch of substrate rather than just adding a vertical line — that shade is what makes it useful for catfish, loaches and anything else that avoids bright open water.
Give it corner space. Pushed flat against a back wall the canopy gets squashed and the shape is lost.
Features
- 28cm with a wide canopy — shade rather than screening
- Broad rounded leaf — contrast against fine-leaved ferns and grasses
- 330g — heavy enough to stay put in normal flow
- No maintenance — no lighting, CO2, fertiliser or trimming, and herbivorous fish will not eat it
Care
Rinse under warm running water before it goes in the tank. Every few months, lift it out and swish it in a bucket of old tank water to shift the algae film that settles on any decor — never use soap or detergent.
Worth knowing
Artificial plants do not take up nitrate or oxygenate the water the way live plants do. They are for structure, cover and looks — your filter and water changes still do the work.
