Amazon Jungle Boston Fern Upright Aquarium Plant

Boston fern form with fine arching fronds, 30cm tall and only 125g. The light build is deliberate — the fronds bend and sway in the filter current instead of standing rigid, which is the single thing that most often gives an artificial plant away.

The cost of that lightness is stability. Directly in front of a strong outlet it will lean; seat the base under gravel or tuck it behind hardscape.

Care

Rinse under warm running water before it goes in the tank. Fine fronds collect detritus faster than broad leaves — swish it in a bucket of old tank water at water changes. Never use soap or detergent.

Worth knowing

Artificial plants do not take up nitrate or oxygenate the water the way live plants do. They are for structure, cover and looks — your filter and water changes still do the work.
